We award scholarships to deserving local high school students who either attend CBCS or are homeschooled.
The scholarships are intended to assist in obtaining an undergraduate degree from a university, college or training in other accredited schools of higher education.
Fostering youth through scholarships, leadership training, and mentorship, we aim to equip young individuals with necessary life skills and opportunities for a brighter future.

The Crested Butte Rotary Club provides community grants to deserving nonprofit organizations as well as the public schools. Funding is generated by CB Rotary Club’s annual Duckie Race. Grants prioritize education programs, health & human services, youth programming, and arts & culture.

Answers to Your Questions About Supporting and Joining BIG DUCK
Calling All BIG DUCKS:
Every year we run a duck race in Coal Creek in downtown Crested Butte the first weekend in August on Sunday afternoon during Artsfest weekend. To watch your BIG DUCK (and the little ducks) on Sunday at 2:00pm be at the bridge at 1st Street and Sopris Avenue to see the start of the race - or Totem Pole Park to see the finish!
Because we love to giving back in our local community to support the YOUTH, we are going BIG! Help us exceed our all-time fundraising efforts and get Your BIG Duck in the race.
We are inviting all businesses, non-profits, families, and individuals to get their BIG DUCK in the Race!!
We are hopeful that you will be able to sponsor a BIG DUCK this year. There will only be 50 Big Ducks allowed in the race! Get your BIG DUCK in the race before we are sold-out!
In addition to the generosity of your Big Duck sponsorship donation of $500, this is a great opportunity to show your continued support in the community.
